On March 20th and 21st, 2004 in San Francisco, California, ROBOlympics was the first ever event to bring robot competitions and competitors together from around the world at a single place — showcasing the best human minds on the planet!

Professional roboticists, children, and enthusiasts from all walks of life competed against each other at ROBOlympics. We featured several different styles of robot soccer, sumo-bots, combat robots, walking robots, talking robots, and home-made creations! Never before have so many kinds of robots been in one place at one time. Check out our videos on-line!

The Competitions
Combat robots, sumo robots, re-programmed Aibos playing soccer, and biped androids that do kung-fu were only Some of the features at ROBOlympics! All winners got Gold, Silver, or Bronze medals!
